Poor standards of dust control

Dust conditions found by HSE last week on a construction site in the Midlands where kitchen worktops were being cut to size. The lack of on-tool extraction has exposed the operator and others working close by to wood dust and potentially serious respiratory health problems. A Notification of Contravention (NOC) and an Improvement Notice (IN) were issued in this case to improve standards.
